Main role of upper limb orthosis   The advantages of an upper-limb orthosis in treatment depend on clinical, and effective choice limits, aids, or creates movement. The correct use of these features can play a very important role in achieving the following goals, which are achieved through appropriate combinations of static, moving and dynamic orthosis components. 1) Prevention and correction of malformations 2) Protect the painful, inflammatory and healing tissues. 3) Increase the function, assist or compensate to stabilize structurally unstable joints. 4) Static orthosis are rigid structures that keep the body in an ideal position. 5) The orthosis of movement has joints that allow patients to produce motion from their own muscles or some external power sources.
