What are the factors that affect the price of prosthetics and orthopaedic materials
Prosthetics and orthopaedic materials manufacturers generally adopt non-price competition, that is, relatively stable prices, to reduce costs, improve quality, provide services, and strengthen sales and promotion methods to enhance competitiveness, but they cannot completely ignore competitors' prices. Market competition is also an important factor affecting the price of prosthetics and orthopaedic materials.
Depending on the level of competition, prosthetics and orthopaedic materials manufacturers have different pricing strategies. According to the degree of market competition, it can be divided into three situations: perfect competition, incomplete competition and complete monopoly.
1. Incomplete competition:
Under imperfect competition, there are at least two buyers or sellers, and a few buyers or sellers have a greater impact on the price and transaction volume. In the case of imperfect competition, the pricing of prosthetics and orthopaedic materials has a relatively large room for maneuver. It should not only consider the price strategy of competitors, but also consider the impact of the company's pricing strategy on the competitive situation.
2. Complete monopoly:
In the case of perfect monopolistic competition, the quantity and price of transactions are determined unilaterally by the monopolist. Complete monopoly is rare in reality.
3. Perfect competition:
Under the conditions of perfect competition, there are a large number of buyers and sellers, prosthetics and orthopaedic materials are all homogeneous, there is no difference in quality and function, enterprises can freely choose prosthetic production, and buyers and sellers can fully obtain market intelligence.
In this case, neither the buyer nor the seller can influence the price of prosthetics and orthopaedic materials, and can only engage in production and trading at the established market price.
