Resilimb atrophy and blood circulation disorders

Some muscles of the residual limbs are no longer moved after being cut off,

and the use of prosthetic limbs is often pressed. In the 6 months of the first prosthetic wear,

the residual limb atrophy is the most obvious. The atrophy of muscle will cause poor blood circulation,

and the surface temperature of the residual limb is easy to cause residual pain and phantom pain.

In order to prevent muscle atrophy and amputation, patients should pay attention to frequent phantom limb exercise exercises.

If there is a gap between the end of the residual limb and the bottom of the receiving cavity,

when the residual limb is mentioned, the gap in the receiving cavity moves downward,

causing a negative pressure, and the soft tissue at the end of the stump will appear red,

swelling and tenderness. If the residual limb terminal conditions permit,

the receiving cavity must achieve full contact.
