Instructions for use of prostheses and service guide

Amputees often wear prostheses . In order to ensure the normal use of prostheses, perform their functions well, and prolong their service life, the following items should be noted.

1. Formally accept the maintenance of the cavity: (including the sleeve silicone soft sleeve)

1. The upper limb arm tube and lower limb receiving cavity should be kept clean every day, cleaned before going to bed, and allowed to dry naturally.

2. After wearing the upper limb arm tube and lower limb receiving cavity for a period of time, the residual limb atrophy may sometimes occur. At this time, the residual limb socks can be worn or the leather pad can be adjusted to keep wearing and walking safe. If it is still too loose, please contact the company in time to avoid falling after slipping, and replace the receiving cavity if necessary.

3. Precautions for wearing silicone and gel soft covers: (Use correctly under the guidance of a technician)

(1) Cleaning method: Clean the inner side with neutral soapy water every day, and air dry naturally. (It is better to use care solution).

(2) Avoid scratches and tears from sharp and rough objects; avoid high temperature exposure and baking; avoid strong stretching.

2. Temporary receiving cavity and temporary prosthesis.

1. Temporary receiving cavity and temporary prosthesis are used for observation, shaping, and stabilization of residual limbs for amputees who are newly fitted with prostheses.

2. Temporary prostheses are only used for weight-bearing, support, joint mobility and training strength and sense of walking of the residual limb.

3. Maintenance of structural parts

1. The structural parts of the prosthesis can be used normally according to the after-sales warranty period. In general, we will go to the prosthesis company for maintenance and maintenance regularly for 3 to 6 months. If there is an abnormality, contact the prosthetic company to resolve it properly.

2. In order to prevent damage to the structure and prolong the service life of the prosthesis, the prosthesis should not be used and stored in humid or harsh environments.

3. The user is strictly prohibited to disassemble the prosthesis without the permission of the technician!

4. Vulnerable parts: Myoelectric hand skins, valve covers, belts, contour sponges, contour socks, etc. are not covered by the warranty, and should be used normally and reasonably, and pay attention to maintenance.

Fourth, the phenomenon that is easy to appear when the prosthesis is first installed

Blisters, discomfort, and muscle aches appear after the residual limb is put on the receiving cavity; back muscles are sore and painful; the healthy leg may be prone to fatigue or pain due to too much weight.

5. Daily care of residual limbs

1. Keep the residual limbs clean every day and check the changes of the residual limbs at any time.

2. Check the skin of the residual limb in contact with the receiving cavity or arm tube every day. If there is any abnormality, seek medical treatment or contact the prosthetic company. So that it can be resolved in time.

During the treatment, you are reminded that it is best not to wear prosthetics or wear less prostheses until healed, so as to avoid aggravating infections and other unexpected occurrences.

Sixth, some suggestions

1. Pay attention to the height of the heel when wearing prostheses and changing shoes. Newcomers should not wear flat shoes, and wear travel shoes and casual shoes as much as possible. When changing shoes, the heel height should not exceed plus or minus 7.5px-12.5px when the prosthesis was first installed. Or contact a prosthetic company.

2. In order to make the prosthesis comfortable to wear, each wearer should pay attention to keeping the weight plus or minus no more than 3 kg.

3. Patients with pathological amputation or special skin (such as skin grafts, adhesive skin, etc.) should follow the instructions of the technician when wearing prostheses.

4. Pay attention to the changes of the skin during the change of seasons. Skin wrinkles and dryness are prone to occur, and care should be taken to moisturize and protect the skin.

7. Precautions for myoelectric hand skin, precautions for the use of batteries and how to use the charger

1. Be careful not to touch sharp objects and ink on the hand skin of myoelectric hand to avoid damage and dirt (all dirt can't be washed off).

2. The battery must be charged with a dedicated battery charger. Keep away from heat sources during storage and keep in a low temperature, dry environment.

3. Don't throw the battery into fire or water. Do not disassemble or modify the packaged battery by yourself.

4. For long-term storage, 50% discharge state must be maintained.

5. Connect the DC output circular plug of the charger to the socket of the charging base, and insert the power plug of the charger into an AC 220v power socket. At this time, the yellow indicator light in the middle of th
