How to determine the correct position of the stump through the receiving cavity
1、Standing position, when body weight is transferred to the prosthetic side, the ischium nodule can feel good load bearing;
there is no tenderness in the inferior pubic and adductor muscles; the skin at the end of the stump feels good at the bottom
of the receiving cavity; the external rotation angle of the foot is similar to that of the healthy foot.
2、If the sciatic nodule does not bear weight, the skin at the end of the limb is not exposed to the bottom of the receiving cavity;
Large skin folds appear in the medial part of the thigh of the stump, i.e. the upper margin of the receiving cavity,
these conditions may indicate that the soft tissue of the stump is not all pulled into the receiving cavity, not fully penetrated,
and needs to be removed from the prosthesis and worn again.
3、If you put on a prosthetic limb, standing, walking found that the inner part of the stump is uncomfortable, walking the tip of
the foot to the outside or to the inside too large, it shows that the prosthesis is not properly worn, the wear is crooked,
and the heavy wear needs to be removed. Attention should be paid to the direction of the inner wall of the receiving cavity
and the walking direction of the amputee
