Experience of gait training of prosthesis leg for home use
For the new prosthetic friends, gait training is one of the core processes of prosthetic assembly, and the understanding of prosthetic assembly technology is fully reflected in this process. The development and implementation of scientific gait training plan can help the prosthetic users better grasp the functional characteristics of the prosthesis and reconstruct the lower limb function. First of all, let's share some experience of gait training of lower leg prosthesis for home use.
Basic conditions for gait training of prosthesis leg for home use
After the leg prosthesis is assembled, the height of the prosthesis must be determined. The way I am used to it is to adjust the thickness of the book to the height of the two sides. After standing training, the height of the prosthesis can be determined after the patient can clearly perceive the corresponding position of the foot, that is, the foot is placed horizontally (the forefoot, heel, medial foot and lateral foot are evenly stressed). When the height of the prosthesis is adjusted in place and the patient has the ability to identify the corresponding position of the foot, the basic conditions for gait training of the leg prosthesis are provided.
Steps of gait training for prosthesis leg for home use
The first step is plantar rolling training in support period. This process is mainly to experience the characteristics of the foot board. The training process consists of two hands holding the bar, one hand holding the bar (opposite side of the artificial limb) and taking off the bar. The patient took the prosthetic leg as the supporting leg and stepped off the ground from the healthy side, and felt the rolling state of the plantar in the two stages of following the ground when walking forward - "foot flat", "toe pedaling forward", and "foot flat" before the heel left the ground.
The second step is the balance training of single leg. The main purpose is to let the patients master the upper body posture control when standing on one leg.
The third step, the center of gravity movement training in swing period. This process is mainly to train the reasonable movement of the body center of gravity during the prosthetic swing period. The training process is composed of two hands holding bar, one hand holding bar (opposite side of artificial limb) and off bar training. Patients with healthy side limb as support legs, from the prosthetic foot off the ground, feel forward walking and backward movement, body center of gravity movement and corresponding position of foot board, only the center of gravity movement and prosthetic swing frequency is consistent, is a good gait.
The fourth step, legs alternate running training. After the foundation of the first two steps, enter the training of alternating legs. This process is mainly to adjust the walking coordination of the trunk, and the focus of training is still whether the center of gravity moves in harmony.
The fifth step, living environment simulation training. At this stage, patients can master the best gait of prosthesis in common living environment such as stairs and ramps.
Generally speaking, after the above five steps, the lower leg prosthesis users can obtain the ideal gait, and it is hoped that each leg prosthesis patient can achieve the ideal gait effect.
Key points of gait training for prosthesis leg for home use
During the gait training of leg prosthesis, there is a key point that we must adjust well. Whether it is standing training or walking training, prosthetic users should not look at the prosthesis, and their eyes must be flat forward. If they don't know where to look, they should look for fixed objects far away from the vision line as reference objects. This is the most effective way to master how to control the posture of the upper body Law.
